Taylor Williams Smith's Story
For more than 20 years, Taylor Williams Smith has built her career around a belief that continues to guide her work: the right connection can change the course of a career, strengthen a team, and help an organization move forward.
Known throughout the global mobility community as “The Mobility Matchmaker,” Taylor has a gift for understanding people, recognizing potential, and creating connections that last. Her experience includes sales and leadership roles with Odyssey Relocation, NuCompass Mobility, TheMIGroup, and SuiteAmerica, giving her a broad perspective on the people, partnerships, and programs that shape the mobility industry.
Today, through Taylor Connect Group, Taylor provides personalized executive recruiting and mobility consulting, including relocation program guidance, policy development, and benchmarking support. She begins each engagement by listening. Whether she is working with a candidate considering a career move or a company strengthening its mobility program, Taylor takes the time to understand the people involved, the goals they are working toward, and what the right fit looks like for them.
Taylor holds the Global Mobility Specialist, Talent Management (GMS-T®) designation from Worldwide ERC®. Her service to the industry has included roles as vice president, executive board member, philanthropy chair, and program chair for the Southern California Relocation Council, as well as registration and volunteer chair for the Bay Area Mobility Management Conference. She also participates in national conferences and local industry organizations, contributing her experience and supporting the growth of the mobility community.
Mentorship is a natural extension of Taylor’s work. She helps mobility professionals navigate career decisions, develop meaningful relationships, and find where they can make their strongest contribution.
Taylor also advocates for children with learning disabilities, working with schools to help students receive appropriate academic accommodations. Her advocacy reflects the same care and persistence she brings to her professional work, along with her belief that people thrive when their individual strengths are recognized and supported.
Whether Taylor is connecting someone with a new opportunity, advising a company, mentoring an industry colleague, or advocating for a student, she leads with curiosity, care, and a deep respect for the people behind every decision.
